Mike Zabrin is a respected young and upcoming bassist playing Jazz, Blues, Funk, R&B, and Rock. Mike is a Jazz Performance major at Columbia College and has had master classes including instruction by Christian McBride, Rufus Reid, and Bob Mintzer (YellowJackets). He frequently performs at major venues and festivals including Chicago Bluesfest, Milwaukee Summerfest, Buddy Guy's Legends, WI State Fair, and Clearwater Theatre, and Ozark's Music Festival to name a few. At just 19 years old, Mike Zabrin seems to be the top call player for any serious musician.  Mike currently has over 5 large endorsement deals, including Dean Markley and Uncontained Sound. This speaks volumes as to what the music industry thinks of his potential and professionalism. Just recently, he landed a spot playing for the nation-wide known musical, Reefer Madness.

     Mike teaches privately at several locations and does bass workshops/clincs and group lessons at Camp Musictech during the summers. Mike regularly performs with the nationally known “Tallan Noble Latz Band”. Tallan Latz, featured on "America's Got Talent", is a 10 year old guitar prodigy that has performed with B.B King, Les Paul, Joe Bonomassa, Joe Satriani, Davy Knowles, and many more. In 2010 Mike and the band opened for Blue Oyster Cult at Milwaukee Summerfest.  In May 2011, Mike opened for Bob Seger to a sold out crowd (18,000+ people) at the Allstate Arena with the Pat Smillie Band. Bob Seger and his band loved it, calling his set "a real powerhouse performance". Mike regularly performs with “Will Jacobs & Dirty Deal”. Will Jacobs & Dirty Deal is a blues/soul/rock band that won the Chicago Blues Challenge finals at Buddy Guy’s Legends. They were sponsored by the Windy City Blues Society to play at the IBC (International Blues Challenge) in Memphis, TN. They have shared the stage with many well-known national blues artists including Grammy award winner Tommy Castro and Billy Branch & the Sons of Blues. They will be doing a US tour in winter 2011. Aside from these bands and playing in multiple jazz combos, the Mike Zabrin Duo (bass & drums) is a funk duo that plays at major clubs and festivals.
